A taste Of The World

On Thursday, March 25, the International School will proudly present “A Taste of the World XV“. A Taste of the World is sponsored by Student Council, the Parent Committee, and grades K-12, and is held each year to highlight the many nations and cultures that make up our school community.
Grades 7-12 will have food booths open from 5:00 to 7:30 where international cuisine will be sold. Then, at 7:30, grades K-6, the CISS cheerleaders and choir will present a multi-cultural performance. Food booths will open once again after the show.
Tickets to the event will be sold at the door. The cost is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children between the ages of 4-12. Children under four and participating International School students do not pay admission.
On the day of the event, Thursday, March 25, students may wear an international T-shirt and jeans to school, and will be dismissed at 10:45 a.m. to prepare for the night’s activities. Classes will not be held on Friday, March 26 and resume on Tuesday, April 6.
We feel “A Taste of the World” is a wonderful way for our students to learn about their classmates’ countries and cultures. It should be an exciting night and we hope you and your family can join us. Remember to come early and have dinner before the show begins!

Estimados padres de familia del CISS:
Colegio Internacional tiene el orgullo de presentar el día jueves 25 de marzo “A Taste of the World XV”. Este evento es patrocinado por el Comité de Padres de Familia, el Consejo Estudiantil y los grados de kinder al 12º. “A Taste of the World” se lleva a cabo todos los años con la finalidad de resaltar la variedad de países y culturas que conforman nuestra comunidad escolar.
Los grados de 7º a 12º abrirán los “stands” de comida desde las 5:00 hasta las 7:30 p.m. donde habrá una gran variedad de comida internacional. Luego, a las 7:30 los grados de kinder a 6º, las porristas y el coro del CISS presentarán un espectáculo multicultural. Las ventas de comida abrirán nuevamente después de la presentación.
La entrada al evento será cancelada en la puerta principal. El precio de admisión para adultos será de $2.00 y para niños entre las edades de 4 a 12 años de $1.00. Los niños menores de cuatro años y los alumnos participantes de CISS no pagarán admisión.
El jueves 25 de marzo, día del evento, los estudiantes saldrán de clase a las 10:45 a.m. Por motivo de preparar las actividades de la noche. Ese día los alumnos podrán asistir con una camiseta con emblema internacional y jeans azul. El día viernes 26 de marzo no habrá clases. Las clases se reanudarán el martes 6 de abril.
Consideramos que “A Taste of the World” es una maravillosa oportunidad para que nuestros estudiantes conozcan un poco más de los diferentes países y culturas de sus compañeros. ¡Será una noche emocionante y esperamos contar con su presencia! Recuerden llegar temprano para poder disfrutar de la comida internacional antes de que inicié el espectáculo.
